ABOUT ME

I am a highly experienced; dedicated and qualified Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor with 30 years of experience in the counseling field. I am currently in private practice; providing cognitive-behavioral therapy for individual and family counseling for children, adolescents and adults. I provide treatment for Depression, Anxiety, Bereavement, Compulsive Disorders, Marriage Counseling, Domestic, Physical and Sexual Abuse, Transgender, Trauma, Weight-Loss Counseling, Stress Management and Behavioral Problems. I was licensed as a Psychological Therapist with the Ohio Board of Psychology in 1992 and have been licensed in the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) since 1999. Most recently, I have also obtained my Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) license and have also been licensed in the state of Texas as a Licensed Baccalaureate Social Worker (LBSW) since 1994. I have supervised numerous Licensed Professional Counselor interns and have worked with graduate students from Texas A & M International University while they worked on their practicum and internship programs, while teaching at Texas A & M International University as an adjunct professor. I am contracted with and provide services for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. I also have experience working with weight-loss surgery clients by providing pre-surgery psychological clearance evaluations and post-operative counseling. I accept most insurance plans and most Medicaid plans.
